I am using the latest version. I run SO2R at my station using a microHam u2R router. However, for just general operating, I use only 1 radio, an Icom 7610 which is fed through the u2R. In order to PTT the radio through the u2R, I need PTT serial port 16 using RTS. The only option here is CAT, which does PTT the radio but doesn't allow audio through the u2R.
